Popular event returns to town

MAGHULL Town Council hosted the return of its annual MaghullFest at KGV Playing Field on a very hot and sunny Saturday, August 13.

The event saw crowds enjoy live music from Merseycats, fairground rides, multi-sports and a range of other activities arranged by the Council.

MTC leader Patrick McKinley said: “It was great to see so many families enjoying themselves in the sunshine. This was our first MaghullFest for a number of years due to Covid restrictions so it’s good to get back to providing activities for our residents.”

This was the first festival since 2019 due to the pandemic and was supported by a number of local community groups including Maghull in Bloom whose members were selling garden plants on the day.

Cllr McKinley added: “The Frozen performances organised by MTC in Glenn Park the previous day also went down a storm. Well done to all staff, volunteers and councillors who contributed to these two community events. We have received a lot of positive comments for both events.

“Next year we hope it will be even bigger and better. If you have any ideas about what you would like to see at events organised by MTC contact the Town Hall on 0151 526 3705 or e-mail info@maghull-tc.gov.uk.”
